Ingredients
- Boneless, skinless chicken thighs
- Marinade
- Plain yogurt
- Lemon juice
- Fresh garlic
- Fresh ginger
- Garam masala powder
- Pan Sauce
- ghee or clarified butter
- Vegetable oil
- Chopped onions
- Fresh garlic
- Fresh ginger
- Cumin
- Roasted coriander
- Chili powder
- Heavy cream
- Tomato sauce
- Tomato paste
- Fresh coriander (cilantro)
Instructions
- Cut up boneless skinless chicken thighs and marinate them for at least an hour in the mixture.
- Brown them in a skillet with some oil and remove them
- Add ghee or clarified butter to the pan, and some oil
- Add chopped onions and deglaze the pan
- Cook the onions down then add the fresh garlic, fresh ginger, cumin, roasted coriander, and chili powder
- Cook that all together until it is fragrant…
- Add chicken back into the pan
- Add heavy cream, tomato sauce and tomato paste and let simmer for 15-20 minutes
- Top at the end with fresh coriander (cilantro)
- Serve with basmati rice.
